With the growth of the society, children are becoming sexually active at earlier ages. It can begin at thirteen years old and it makes some adult feel sorry. Parents start to worry that it can be worse. Some parents are afraid to talk about sex in taboo reason although they understand that kids should know about sex starts with the parents. Talking about sex should not be taken lightly because there are consequences if your child is not informed properly. So, there are some points should be the top of the discussion. Choose the appropriate time and occasion to tell these to your kids.
The first is the use of condom. By introducing the condom to your child, they will understand what they are and how to use them well. Later, when they are sexually active and find that condom is too hard to put on correctly, they will not use one at all. Of course, it will put your kid in very bad danger. Then, inform your kid all about many diseases that come from sex. Herpes, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, and the worst of all AIDS are just a few examples. They will easily infect if they are not doing safe sex with their partner. When children get older, they will understand more and become smarter on the ways of safe sex. Furthermore, pregnancy is big thing amongst teenagers who do not think it a good idea to practice safe sex. The number of teen pregnancies are higher, keeping the children safe from pregnancies is the best we could do as parents for our children.
At first, it can be so hard to talk to your kids about sex. However, it is still the top priority because there are many things kids should know about sex. The knowledge will protect them from the dangers. As parents it is your duty to protect your children in all forms of harm. When you teach your child of the proper uses of sex and when the best time to have it, then your children will respect your decisions. Many methods can be applied and you can choose the suitable one for your kids. It is a matter of choosing the right time to sit down with them and give them the talk that they have needed for a while.
